The Locust of MM2 Survival Checklist
Pre-round, mid-chase, and post-death ticks for 30-player Locust nights.
Use this checklist in the lobby and during the night. It is a numbered loop for MM2 of The Locust survivors on 30-player online servers. It is not a lore page. Tick the lines, then play. The parent hub is Survival Tools Hub, which also holds the Key spend planner and control sheet. Role context: survivors. Chase prose: how to survive.
The game is a playable Pre-Alpha (live since late July 2026). Do not wait for a later build to start using this list. Nights are the score. A revive may cost resources. Play each life as if it is the only one.
Pre-round (lobby)
- Confirm you are in MM2 of The Locust by THE STALKERS OG, not Nikilis’ Murder Mystery 2.
- Vote a multi-exit interior if you are surviving. Skip open rooftops and bright block plazas unless you are the Locust. We do not invent official map names; vote the shape. Ranks: maps tier list.
- Check Keys. If you have none, skip the shop instead of panic-buying cosmetics later.
- Buy taser first (S, ~5s stun). Buy camera second (A, ~10s freeze, needs aim). Bank extra Keys for a possible revive (B). Cosmetics last (C). Do not buy Keys with Robux if you can farm (F). Planner: tools hub. Behavior: items.
- Confirm sprint (Left Ctrl or E), crouch (C), and Q (push). Full sheet: controls.
- Pick two exits in the first room you expect to land. Name a vent dump only if you have seen it work. Hide ranks: hiding spots.
- Decide now: taser is for a grab, not for first sight.
- Mute the urge to camp one locker all night. That is an F plan.
If you bought the Locust role instead, stop this list and open Playing as The Locust. Your job is whole-map checks, not this survivor loop.
Mid-chase (the night)
- Sprint off the first scream. Do not turn to stare at the TV head.
- Break line of sight around a real corner, stair, or ride prop before you hide.
- Enter a vent (S, reroute) or a known underground exit (S). Use a locker (A) only after the break.
- Skip dead-end closets and standing in light (F). TVs are landmarks, not cover.
- Hold the taser until a grab, a blocked door, or a teammate you can actually reach.
- If you land a camera freeze, leave. Do not teabag a ten-second statue.
- Leave the container before the Locust’s second check. Rotate. One locker all round is how you donate a night.
- Q push is a step of space, not a stun. Do not treat it like the monster’s special.
- If you snag a coaster rail or sit in a see-through tube, get out. Mixed carnival props are not free hides.
- Keep moving toward a second exit. Tools buy time. Time is for relocation.
If the layout is an open roof, get inside before you hide. If the layout is a tight corridor, treat it as a connector, not a home. Maps guide and hiding guide are the longer versions of ticks 2–4.
Post-death (before the next night)
- Spectate. Watch which locker wall the Locust checks first.
- Note vent mouths, not just vent interiors.
- Note whether Q special was used at a pinch door.
- If a revive is offered, pay the resource cost only if you will not repeat the same closet.
- Do not spend leftover Keys on a skin as emotional damage control.
- Check codes only if you actually need Keys. Redeem with how to redeem. There may be zero active codes.
- Run pre-round ticks 2–8 again before the next vote.
- If you keep dying on roofs, vote interiors. If you keep dying in closets, you are camping. If you keep missing flashes, buy the taser.
- After you understand the hides, consider the 100 Robux Locust buy: how to become Locust.
One-line version
Vote exits, buy taser, bind sprint/crouch/Q, break LOS, vent or known underground, locker only after the break, never camp, spectate, repeat.
That sentence is the Pre-Alpha survival kit. Use the tier list hub when a shop row or hide type feels unclear. Use this page when you already know and still panic.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for nest survival, codes, and Locust hunts.
When do I run this checklist?
Every lobby until the loop is automatic. Pre-round in the vote screen, mid-chase during the night, post-death while you spectate.
What is the single most important pre-round buy?
The taser. Ranked S on the equipment tier list. Hold it for a grab, not first sight.
What if the lobby votes an open rooftop?
Get inside before you hide. Open roofs are C for survivors and A for the Locust. Next vote, pick a multi-exit interior. Maps ranks.
Can I stay in one locker if nobody saw me?
No. The Locust checks containers. Tick mid-chase item 7: leave before the second check. Hiding ranks.
What do I do after I die?
Spectate locker walls and vent mouths, then run pre-round ticks again. A revive may cost resources and is not a plan.
Where is the Key spend planner?
On the tools hub, next to the control sheet. This page is the numbered night loop, not the shop table.
