The Locust of MM2 Playing as a Survivor
Sprint, crouch, break LOS, spend Keys on time, and stop camping one locker.
Most of a 30-player server in MM2 of The Locust is survivors. You spawn in a darkened MM2-style nest, vote a map, spend Keys if you have them, and try to last nights while a player-controlled Locust hunts the lobby. The mode is online 1 vs All, live in Pre-Alpha since late July 2026. You are not a detective from Nikilis’ Murder Mystery 2. You are a body with binds, a shop, and a bad habit of sitting in one locker.
This page is the survivor half of the players hub. The hunter half is The Locust. Chase tutorial: how to survive. First hour: getting started. Gear ranks: equipment. Hide ranks: hiding spots.
What you actually control
- Sprint: Left Ctrl or E. Use it to leave the first scream, not to run a victory lap.
- Crouch: C. Drop your profile after a corner, before a locker door.
- Q: Push. Create a step of space. It is not a stun. The Locust’s Q is a special; yours is not.
- Keys: Shop currency. Taser (~5s stun) is S. Camera (~10s freeze, needs aim) is A. Extra Keys / possible revive is B. Cosmetics are C. Robux Keys while you can farm are F.
- Vote: Pick multi-exit interiors. Open rooftops are C for you and A for the hunter.
Confirm binds on the controls page in the lobby, not mid-chase. The tools hub has a Key spend planner that matches this order.
Pre-round habits
Vote the layout. Buy the taser if you can. Bank Keys if you already own a stun. Do not buy a skin because the shop is pretty. Note two exits in the first room you land. If you do not know a vent dump, do not main vents yet. Tick the survival checklist every night until it is muscle memory.
Nights are the reason you queue. A revive may cost resources and may not happen. Play as if this life is the only one. Spectate if you die; the Locust’s locker order is free information.
Mid-chase habits
- Sprint off the scream.
- Break line of sight around a real corner, stair, or ride prop.
- Hide in a vent or a known underground exit. Locker is the backup, and only after the break.
- Hold the taser for a grab, a blocked door, or a teammate you can actually reach.
- Leave the container before the second check.
Standing in TV light or on a bright block is an F hide. Dead-end closets are F. Camping one locker all round is how the Locust farms. Full ranks: hiding spots tier list and the hiding guide.
Camera flash is A-tier only if you can aim down a hall. Do not flash the floor. After a freeze, relocate. After a taser, relocate. Tools buy time, not a camping license. Item details: items guide.
Map votes that keep you alive
Multi-exit interiors are S for survivors. Tight corridors are connectors, not homes. Carnival and fair layouts with trains, coasters, and tubes are mixed: great if you know the dump, fatal if you snag a rail. Underground is S only with an exit. We do not invent official map names. Rank the shape in the vote panel using the maps tier list and the maps guide.
If the lobby votes an open roof, get inside. If you are the one voting, stop picking the pretty plaza.
After a death
Spectate. Watch locker checks and vent mouths. Note whether the hunter used Q at a pinch. If a revive is offered and you can pay the resource cost, take it only if you will not repeat the same closet. Then run the checklist again. Codes, when they exist, inject Keys — see codes — they do not inject game sense.
If you want to swap seats, the Locust role is 100 Robux. Learn survivor hides first so your hunt is not a hallway loop. How to become Locust and the Locust player page are the swap.
Survivors win by lasting nights, not by looking at the monster. Spend Keys on time, vote exits, and keep moving after every hide.
